The Heptones & The Mighty Diamonds - A Christmas Present

Ten Christmas style tracks sung over familiar riddims

Father Richard Ho Lung & Friends ‎- Sister Song

Recorded at Randy's and Joe Gibbs

Merry Christmas to the followers and visitors of Kingston Roots, a bit late though. My favorite Christmas song of this year is "Christmas Life", which is track number 2 on this album. It is very pure, profound and melodic. "Christ is born through our lives" is the theme of the song. Four other great tracks on the album and the rest is rather outdated, but that is only my personal opinion.

The Gladiators ‎- Gladiators

Produced by Eddy Grant
R.I.P. Albert Griffiths (January 1, 1946 - December 15, 2020), frontman of The Gladiators. Many times I have enjoyed his/their music. At home, once at a concert, in trains and automobiles. This album has a bit more rock-pop sound than others, because of the Eddy Grant production. Some very fine songs here to enjoy like "Feel Like A Star", "Behind Closed Doors" and "Mine For All Time" with the ukelele accompaniment.
