ReplyDeleteI been trying to find a Jackie Mittoo track with very unusual growling lyrics, I think was on same comp album with Marcia Gruffiths. I have tried others, this is last one can find.
Found all these tracks on YouTube, this is NOT the Studio 1 album I'm looking for. The track I'm trying to find has vocals unlike any other typical Studio 1 style. Deep raw gravely voice almost growling some words, more like talking than singing over melody instrumental. Still sure tag said artist was Jackie Mittoo, but might have been someone else doing vocals, and Mittoo just the melody.
